I Liked I Can Only Imagine Over The Avengers Because It's A Real Story About Real Life Struggles That Only The Real Superhero, Jesus, Can Solve 5/21/18 - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):

I finally had a chance to go see I Can Only Imagine that tells the story behind the popular Christian song, and I’m gonna be honest, I liked it way more than The Avengers: Infinity Wars.

I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty burned out on superhero movies. Other than Star Wars, every big blockbuster now is a superhero movie and they’re pretty predictable. We all know that The Avengers will find a way to win in the second part of the movie in 2019.

And really, how many times can they save the world from an evil bad guy? It’s getting sorta boring.

What I liked about I Can Only Imagine is that unlike The Avengers, this movie was about real life. It was a real story about a real person, not a fictional character battling fictional problems.

Imagine had real life redemption. It showed the power of the only superhero that matters, Jesus Christ, and how He can change people’s lives forever.

We have a lot of broken people in the world looking for a real superhero. We need more stories like Imagine on the big screen that shows real life struggles and tells real stories and not just comic book tales.

Jesus Christ is the real superhero.
