With the Facebook data scandal increasing and lawmakers planning to grill Mark Zuckerberg later this week, it is now a matter of not if, but when tech and social media will be regulated by the federal government.

A Senator according to Fox News are even warning that Facebook could be broken up if they don’t shape up.

It’s not just Facebook that is making billions off of our data, it’s all of them: Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and the list goes on.

I said in January that  maybe it’s time to bust the social media trust, and with the data scandal growing and Congress getting involved, it’s only a matter of time now until social media is regulated, and once that door opens, the government will only regulate it more and more.

Social media as we know it is over.
