Winning Rings, Winning Souls. Inside the Philly Eagles Christian Revival 2/6/18 - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):

The Philadelphia Eagles are the Super Bowl champs, which is cool, congrats to them. That shoud’ve been my Falcons in last season, but I don’t wanna discuss it.

The more interesting story of the Eagles is what has occurred off the field with the team.

A team video earlier this season highlighted many of the player’s Christian faith, with players offering their testimonies.

This season there was also a photo of the team together at a pool as Marcus Johnson got baptized.

Before the big game, there was a story that the Eagle QB Nick Foles wants to become a high school pastor after his NFL career is over, and after winning head coach Doug Pederson gave all the praise to Jesus Christ for the win.

With this NFL seeing being a dumpster fire, it’s nice that there was one bright spot this season with the Eagles using their platform to stand for something good.
