A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle
Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):
Wednesday we lost the most important and influential pastor in American history. The Rev. Billy Graham.
There will never be another Billy Graham, especially in today’s world. I almost feel as if a part of old, traditional America died also. The traditional America that built America, the one that had a reverence for Christianity, which as we all know is the opposite of the America today. America is so far from God. Maybe the passing of this great pastor will renew Americans interest in the gospel.
I had the honor of hearing him preach about a decade ago in Jacksonville, Florida. It was absolutely amazing watching all the people that came to accept Christ at his crusade.
Rev. Graham once said that his “one purpose in life is to help people find a personal relationship with God, which, I believe comes through knowing Christ.” May we all live a life that has that purpose.
Thank you Rev. Graham for letting your light shine, for being a leader, and for boldly sharing the gospel. Today we celebrate your life as you are now home in Heaven.
Well done, good, and faithful servant.
