Millennials, Amazon Alexa Is Cool, But Have You Tried Jesus To Get Answers? 1/29/18 - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):

Sunday morning while getting ready for church, I had Hillsong Young and Free’s “This is Living” playing and listening to the chorus that says that:

“Seeing the sun now bursting through the clouds

Black and white turns to colour all around

All is new, in the Savior I am found

This is living now,”

it made me think about how true those words are. Waking and knowing there is a reason that we are not here by some random chance, that there is a purpose to our life, that really is living.

Now I said all that to say this. Relevant magazine, reported on a new study from the Barna research group that shows generation Z, kids born after 1999, are the most non-Christian generation in U.S. history with 35% stating they are either atheist, agnostic, or unaffiliated with any religion. For millennials and Gen X, 30% felt they were atheist, agnostic or unaffiliated.

Obviously, younger generations are moving away from Christianity, which is sad to see, but not surprising considering the society we live in today.

To all the young that are out there listening to this that are unbelievers, you don’t know what you’re missing. You are missing out on so much by not living for Christ. You are missing out on joy, hope, peace, contentment, that can only be found in Him, in this upside down, increasingly crazy, social media driven world.

Amazon Alexa is cool, but have your tried Jesus?

The truth is just a tap away on your iPhone on a Bible app.

Until you have lived for Him, you haven’t really lived.
