I Don't Want a Conservative Bias in Journalism, I Want a Truth Bias 7/7/17 - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):

For the past couple of days I’ve discussed the war of memes and words between President Trump and “fake news” CNN, and let’s be honest, CNN has given Trump a lot of reasons to criticize and mock them with memes because a lot of their coverage of him has been totally unfair.

We all know that a large majority of the media including CNN, has a liberal bias, that’s been well documented, and because of that, I’m glad there are conservative outlets that can counter the liberal opinions of the left.

I believe in free speech and Rachel Maddow has every right, as does Sean Hannity to give their opinion on topics, but when it comes to hard news, real journalism stories, the reporting, the facts, should not be liberal or conservative, the reporters should not report from their personal bias, but should just report the facts, regardless of their point of view.

And maybe the facts will be in favor of the conservative position, or the facts of the story will be on the side of the democrats, or maybe neither, where ever the truth and facts takes the reporter, that is where his reporting should go.

If CNN, MSNBC and the rest would go back to practicing real fact based real journalism, they may just save what’s left of their credibility or gain it back if they’ve already lost it completely. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
