I just got back from the beach a few days ago and as you’d expect, it was totally relaxing.
While hanging out at the beach, it sorta hit me why I like the beach other than the obvious which is that it’s relaxing, and that is that at the beach, there is no politics.
Everybody for the most part gets along. Yes, there are a few outliers but overall, everyone is nice to one another.
Every race, every religion, we’re all there to enjoy life and to relax and it seems that calm atmosphere of the beach just makes everyone feel better and treat each other better.
And I thought to myself, why don’t we treat each other like this daily at work?
On the interstate?
We can’t just all just treat one another better? With more respect?
Imagine the positive effect it would have on our families, culture and politics if we just treated each other with more kindness, respect and care.
If only we lived as though life is a beach daily and not just when we’re walking on the sand looking at the waves. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
