Poll: Voters Think Trump Should Stop Tweeting but I Disagree 7/3/17 - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):

Well Trump did it again, he caused a Twitter tornado over his tweets about the Morning Joe crew, a show like a majority of America, I have not watched. The reaction as always, easy to predict, the media went crazy, especially CNN, they devoted 13 hours to it, the usual Republicans including Lindsey Graham, distant themselves from Trump, and the democrats had panic attacks and demand Trump be impeached, imprisoned. A new poll from Fox sheds some light on what the American people think about all of Trump’s tweeting.

Seventy-one percent say the president’s tweets are hurting his agenda and only 17 percent see the tweets as helpful. The poll occurred before the MSNBC tweet deal so the odds are that seventy-one percent number would be higher if the poll occurred after those tweets. Overall, only 13 percent approve of Trump’s tweeting.

Personally, I think Trump should continue to tweet because it offers him away to go around the mainstream media spin and spread his message to the American people, but he needs to be more responsible and not tweet personal attacks, just let it go, ignore it and concentrate on his agenda because those tweets are not helping him.
