The Warriors Versus The Donald: Thoughts on Sports Teams Skipping Meeting Trump 6/15/17 - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):

There are rumors that the Golden State LeBron Defeaters are not planning on visiting President Trump and the White House after their defeat of the Cleveland Cavs in the NBA Finals because there are not fans of the POTUS. Sports teams visiting the President after a championship has been a tradition for decades and really hasn’t been that big of a deal until well, Trump. In 2017 America, everything is political, even a sports team visiting a President and shaking his hand, so I’m not surprised by this nor am I surprised that they don’t wanna visit him. Some of the Patriots declined to meet with Trump after they won, including Tom Brady. My personal opinion is that it’s petty to not meet with the President regardless of who is sitting in the office, because it’s not every day you have the chance to meet a President, but in America we have freedom of speech, so if they don’t wanna meet with him, it’s ok, it’ll give him more time to help Make America Great Again. It’s just sad that America has gotten so political that a sports team meeting with the President is a multiple day discussion. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
