New Study Shows ESPN Losing Conservative Viewers Over Politics 5/25/17 - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

The following is a rush transcript and may contain errors:

In 2014 on this very show I said that ESPN was becoming the “Liberal Sports Progressive Network” and I guess a recent study agrees with me as a new Deep Root Analysis study as reported by indicates that ESPN saw a decline in conservative leaning viewers between 2015 and 2016 in 34 of 43 TV markets.  ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN News all saw viewership declines among Republicans. If you’ve watched ESPN lately this probably isn’t too surprising to you as sometimes if you aren’t careful you might wonder if you are watching MSNBC over ESPN as many of their shows go political on topics instead of just sticking to sports. When people watch sports they’re watching to avoid politics, to relax. No one wants to hear a discussion on ESPN about politics. There are plenty of channels for that. The further left the channel goes, the further their ratings will go down. Hey Fox Sports 1! If you wanna increase you ratings, gain some ground on ESPN? Make Sports Fun Again by reporting on sports and not politics!  It would give you an advantage. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
