A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle
Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):
So when does the advertiser boycotts of Stephen Colbert begin? If you haven’t heard CBS Late Night Trump Hate Show host Colbert concluded his typical and nightly I hate Trump monologue with a homophobic slur. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that FoxNews has had some trouble of late with advertiser pulling ads from The O’Reilly Factor and women groups protesting outside Fox HQ demanding that Bill O had to go. Same thing happened to Rush Limbaugh a few years ago after some on air remarks. So now we have Stephen Colbert, a card carrying leftist in good standing that has used a homophobic slur against the President of the United States. Him saying this would’ve been wrong if he had said it against anyone, including POTUS. Colbert should be treated like Rush and Fox. There should be outrage at the liberal groups that protested the conservative media that he would say this. Gay rights groups should be planning protests and demanding he be fired. Of course, none of that is gonna happen, because he said it about Trump, so it’s ok, and even funny. You let Sean Hannity say the same thing and it would be the only story on CNN. It’s just another example of the selective moral outrage from the left. If you work in the media, you can say anything as long as you’re on their team. And it shouldn’t be that way. Conservatives and liberals in the media should be held to an equal decency standard, but I know that’ll never happen. And no, I don’t believe that Cobert should be fired.
