Google to Feature New Fact Checking Tool on Search Results to Whittle Down the Fake News 4/12/17 - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):

I wanna know who is fact checking the fact checkers? Recode reports that Google will have a new tool starting Friday that will let you know if the article link has been fact checked or not. They’re gonna use third party so called nonpartisan websites including Politifact to let you know if the link and the information in the story is the real deal or fake. Not all links will contained the fact check seal of approval and it’s unclear how exactly Google plans to determine which websites to check and which ones not to. What are the odds that the nonpartisan fact check will lean left? I say the odds are very good. I’m Chad Whittle with no fact checking require, because I’m always telling the truth on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
