Fame Obsessed: A Company is Charging Hundreds of Dollars for Instagram Users to Take Photos with a Private Jet Backdrop to Appear Rich 10/31/17 - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):

You got all tech billionaires worried that A.I. is gonna take over the world and we are gonna live in so science fiction dystopia where robots rule the world and this is gonna be our downfall.

Well they’re wrong.

The #selfie is gonna be the downfall of humankind!

Fox 5 Atlanta reports that a Moscow company, and by the way, there was no Russian collusion between me and them on this commentary, not even with Fusion GPS, Fox is reporting that this Moscow company called Private Jet Studio, offers jet as a backdrop for a two hour photo session so you can snap photos for $191 with no photographer, or pay $244 for someone to take the photos, so that you can post them on Instagram. I kid you not.

This is a real thing. This isn’t fake. People are paying hundreds of dollars to make others believe they’re rich on Instagram.

This is so amazing and sad. It’s sad people are this obsessed with fame and gaining followers online that they’re willing to pay for fake photos.

It also goes to show just how fake all of social media is! Just because someone has thousands of followers don’t mean anything. It’s all fake.

Then again, maybe the tech guys are right, and the robots are gonna take over because humans are gonna be too busy snapping selfies to notice when their jobs have been taken over by robots.
