The Method to Trump's Tweeting Madness is the Key to Understanding Trump 10/17/17 - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):

There is one thing that I’m not sure the media understands about Trump or maybe they do but they fall for it anyways, and that is that when Trump tweets something that seems to be over the top like tweeting that maybe NBC’s broadcast license should be examined since their reporting is terrible and they lie, He isn’t seriously gonna do that. Trump, and this is important, this is the key, Trump is speaking figuratively not literally. He’s not gonna go after their license because number one, NBC doesn’t have a license, local TV stations do, but networks do not, and number two, Trump knows he couldn’t go after their license if he wanted to, because this isn’t Rocket Man’s Korea, the government can’t shut down TV channels.

When Trump tweets this stuff he knows what he is doing. He’s over hyping it so the issue will gain attention and the media falls for it every single time. He tweets it, they freak out about it, which is exactly what he wants. Trump is the hyperbole king. That’s all he’s doing. He would make a great talk radio host because he knows how to gain attention by overstating an issue.

Trump’s supporters understand what he’s doing. The media doesn’t which is why they freak out on the daily. He uses the same playbook over and over and the media still doesn’t get it. He did it with the national anthem protests, and he’ll probably do it again this week.

Understanding Trump’s method to his tweeting madness is key to understanding Trump and his agenda. Trump knows what he’s doing. I know what he’s doing, but I don’t believe the media ever will!
