Study: Facebook Makes Users as Happy as Marriage (Unless Their Ex is On There) 9/7/16 - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):

If you’re single and you keep hoping to find Mr. Right or Ms. Right, maybe you’re wasting your time. A new study of over 1,900 Facebook users from Carnegie Mellon University showed that getting just 60 comments from close friends within a month is enough to provide the Facebook users with as much happiness as getting married or having a baby. The reason for this happiness is because the users feel good that their friends would take the time to post a comment, because that is of course, a little more work than simply clicking “like” on a post. So the next time you’re feeling lonely on a Friday night, fire up the computer, go to Facebook and find happiness. Well of course unless your ex is on their posting photos of his new girl and you’re home alone on Facebook. Awkward. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
