A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):

There isn’t much I hate more in life than having to go shopping. It’s a time waster to me. I don’t like wasting time and having to go stand in a long line of people to checkout, a line that is long even at the self-checkout, puts a damper on my day. Well, Bloomberg reports that Wal-Mart is working on new tech that will speed up the process. One possible solution is technology on their app that will allow you to scan items as you put them in your shopping cart. Another solution is online grocery ordering that allows you to pick up your bags at the store, ready to go. No shopping required. Regardless of what the retailer comes up with on the tech front, the days of the nice old ladies checking you out will soon be over because not reported is how much money this would save by not having to employee people to check you out.  I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
