Study on Evangelical Millennials Offers Insight Into Their Politics 8/18/16 - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

The following is a rush transcript and may contain errors:

Most stories that appear in the media about Millenninals offer not a lot of positive comments on my generation and the future of America because of my age group. Well, maybe a study from the Institute for Studies of Religion at Baylor University will offer you some hope. The study compared older generations to the Millennials to see if younger evangelical Christians are more liberal than their parents and prior generations.  The results showed that 55% of the young evangelicals identify as Republican, 24% as Independent and 20% as democrat. 70% identify as conservative, 19% as moderate and just 12% identify as liberal. Maybe this will offer you hope that the future of the Republican Party, America and the church is not as doomy as you thought. Maybe there is hope for America after all.
