According to July media coverage of the economy, it must be going great because according to the Media Research Center, the broadcast channels, ABC and NBC gave way more coverage to Pokemon Go than the U.S. economy. CBS gave slightly more seconds to the economy than the app. NBC covered the game seven times more than the economy. ABC gave the game 41 times as much coverage as the economy, and all this in an election year, which is probably why they didn’t want to discuss it because let’s face it it’s much more fun to talk about finding Pokemon than reporting on people that have been long termed unemployed which is a sad thing to report.
