A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle
Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):
There’s renewed talks about dumping Trump at the convention this month. For the sake of argument, let’s say they dump him. If they do that, who can the Republican Party run in his place that would have at least an equal chance of beating Hillary as Trump? Cruz? Well, I heard for months that if Trump and Cruz went head-to-head Cruz would beat him, but he didn’t. Rubio? No way. Marco will be lucky to win his seat again in Florida at this point. Jeb Bush? Haha. The Ohio governor, whatever his name is, one of the lower tier candidates? A no name Senator? Romney? I doubt it. The Republicans really don’t have anyone else that could run in his place. It would be hard to make Cruz popular in a matter of a few months after Trump has been the candidate for months. Like it or not, the Republican Party is stuck with Trump in 2016. There isn’t anyone else. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
