A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):

A new study from SimliarWeb.com reports that people are spending less time on social media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and SnapChat. On all four social sites, usage fell in 2016 compared to 2015, with Instagram seeing the biggest drop at 24%. The study examined users in America as well as other 8 countries. Now could this drop be because people are reading more books over sending selfies of themselves? Well, the article from CNBC.com doesn’t give a reason for the drop, but I believe it’s because people are getting bored with these apps and are waiting for the next big trend, the next big app to give their attention to and waste time on. In our instant gratification world in which we live, it’s no surprise that people would find Facebook boring after a while and move on the next app. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
