New Poll Highlights the Politicalization of Christmas Greetings 12/20/16 - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):

Merry Christmas!  A new poll from the Public Religion Research Institute, reporting there is a political divide when it comes on how stores should greet customers. 66% of democrats said stores or businesses should say “Happy Holidays” or “Season’s Greetings,” while 67% of Republicans want to hear “Merry Christmas.” Overall, 47% of Americans believe stores should say “Happy Holidays” and 46% believe “Merry Christmas” should be said, so I guess it’s sorta like the Electoral College. Happy Holidays might have more popular votes, but Merry Christmas is the real winner of the contest! I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
