A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle
Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors):
When I saw Trump held a press conference before the debate, I knew Trump would go all in on this debate tonight. Honestly, before that I was afraid that he wouldn’t take this seriously enough, but after they dropped that video on Friday, I believe that gave Trump new motivation to go all out and win this debate and election. When I the candidates entered the stage and didn’t shake hands, I knew we were in for an intense debate. Trump had some mic drop moments as many my age would say. When he said that Hillary would be in jail if he was president, that was probably his best line. He went there with Bill Clinton. When he said Bernie Sanders made a deal with the devil, that cracked me up. I like that he went after the moderators always interrupting him and saying it’s 3 against 1. His weakest response was Syria and when he said he disagreed with Mike Pence. While presidents and VP’s have disagreed on issues before, in the middle of a campaign, everyone needs to be on the same page. Trump kept his campaign alive tonight and won the debate. Not even close. Trump didn’t seem angry, but he laid out the facts and stood up for himself. If you go after Trump, he’ll come back twice as hard. That’s obvious. Now we wait for the next October surprise before the final debate. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
