New App Allows Users to Post Reviews of Other PEOPLE! Bad Idea? - A Whittle Bit of Commentary 10/1/15

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors)

Well this is probably the worst idea so far in 2015. Two women have invented an app that the Washington Post describes as Yelp for People. This new app, called Peeple, will allow users to rate people on a scale of 1 to 5 in their personal, professional and romantic lives. And guess what, all a user will need is your cell phone number to add your name to the app so you can be reviewed without your permission! Check this out, according to their website, you cannot remove yourself from it! Positive reviews will post instantly, and negative ones will be sent to an inbox so they’ll be a 48 hour dispute period so you can object to the review posted about you. So the next time you have a bad day, stay home, someone might post a bad review of you that could live online forever. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
