Pope's Here, but Where Are All the U.S. Christian Leaders? - A Whittle Bit of Commentary 9/23/15

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors)

So the Pope is here in America for the next couple of days, and his visit got me wondering about U.S. religious leaders, or the lack therefore. Outside of Rev. Franklin Graham, Gov. Mike Huckabee and a couple of preachers the show up on Fox News from time to time, there isn’t a lot of national Christian leaders that speak up and are involved  in the social and political issues of our day like pastors in the past. In the 1990s Rev. Jerry Falwell and Dr. James Dobson were constants in the mainstream media, but now not so much. This isn’t so much a criticism as an encouragement for more leaders to speak out. We need more Christian leaders presenting the message in national media, because if we don’t, no one else will. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
