Put It On My Tab: American Households Now Owe $107,000 in Federal Debt - A Whittle Bit of Commentary 9/15/15

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Transcript (may appear different than audio recording):

The Cato Institute released a report that the federal debt held by the public totals more than $13 trillion with a T dollars, or around $107,000 per household in the United States. The report stated the debt has double over the past 7 years. And let’s be honest, it’s not gonna come down anytime soon. It’s gonna just keep going up. A flat tax or fair tax is sounding pretty good right about now doesn’t it? Most of us Millennials already have student loan debt we owe, so just add the $107,000 to our government debt tab, which much like the debt, continues to add up.
