Millennials Are Getting Their Political News from Facebook & Not TV Outlets - A Whittle Bit of Commentary 6/2/15

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Transcript (may appear different than audio recording):

The good news is that Millennials are not getting their political news and info from liberal TV. That bad news is that Millennials are getting their political information from Facebook. A Pew study reports that 61% of Millennials use Facebook to find their political news, 37% of them watch local TV to find their news. The poll also found that the iPhone generation is less interested in politics than previous generations. Their baby boom parents are still watching TV. The decline of TV news could be a good thing depending on which pages they’re reading on Facebook, but I have a feeling that most of them are just reading the online TV news equivalents, but at least there’s a robust conservative media online that can compete and spread the message, one post at a time. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
