America is a Generation or Two Away from its First Majority Secular Generation - A Whittle Bit of Commentary 6/1/15

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Transcript (may appear different than audio recording):

No doubt my generation is in a lot of ways different than any previous generation in U.S. history.  No other generation has had technology at their fingertips 24/7 and been able to gain information in an instant. All of these tech distractions, along with the culture in general is why the results of a new study from San Diego State University that shows Millennials are the least religious generation in American history is not that surprising to me. I see it. I live it. It’s all around me. People my age are just aren’t too concerned with religion. My generation has been exposed to an anti-religious, secular worldview since pre-K to college from TV, movies, in some classrooms and on social media, so really how can you expect them to have a Christian worldview? If this trend continues, in a generation or so, when my age group has kids, grandkids, America will see its first majority secular generation. Of course, trends can always change, so let’s hope it does. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
