2016 Is Turning into a Real Mess for the GOP. Are Too Many Running for President? - A Whittle Bit of Commentary 5/19/15

Transcript (may appear different than audio recording):

TheWeek.com reports that there are so many Republicans running for President that the GOP is having trouble keeping up with all of them. In total the GOP has 36 candidates listed on straw polls. Now let’s be honest, it’s absurd that there are 36 people running or maybe will run in 2016. If we are honest with ourselves, only 6 or 7 out of 36 have a real chance of getting the nomination. No way the GOP has a debate with 36 people on stage, that’d be nuts. Of course, a lot of the candidates will be fading from the polls due to lack of money. My fear in this is that a lot of conservative votes will be split up between a lot of candidates and we end up with a moderate candidate. Also, how will the GOP select which candidates are worthy and which ones aren’t worthy to be in a TV debate? This is turning into a real mess. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
