A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Transcript (may appear different than audio recording):

Forgive me Father for my Snapchat story. An anonymous priest in San Antonio has set up a Snapchat account and is offering his followers the chance to have confessional via Snapchat instead of traditionally at a local congregation. He started this experiment as a way to reach out to college students, which is a honorable, good goal, but I’m not sure something as sacred as confession should be updated for the modern age. Quick note, I’m not Catholic, I’m Protestant, but I respect the Catholic faith. Either way, some religious traditions should probably stay within the halls of church, and not on the screen of an iPhone via Snapchat. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
