Think Before You Post: Facebook to Allow Advertisers to View Keywords and Phrases from Status Updates - A Whittle Bit of Commentary 3/12/15

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Transcript (may appear different than audio recording):

I know that you probably already know this, but be careful what you say on Facebook. Especially if you don’t want companies and brands to know your true thoughts on their products. Re/Code.net is reporting that Facebook is offering a new platform to brands that will allow them to view keywords and more from user’s status updates on the social site. This will help advertisers better target their product to potential consumers. So before you post that you hate that TV show or store, just remember, that store may be reading your posts. All I ask is that you post only positive comments about A Whittle Bit of Commentary.

Note: They won't be viewing individual posts, but rather keywords and phrases taken from posts. I wanted to make that more clear than how I explained it above.
