Transcript (may appear different than audio recording):

I don’t know if you’ve ever seen the videos of kids having freak outs over their dad or brother throwing away their video games, but if not you should look them up online. The kids reactions are so over the top, it has to be real and not an act because not even George Clooney could pull off that kind of crazy. Now this story comes from China that an eleven year old is so addicted to internet games, he cut off his left hand in an effort to try and stop playing games. Awful story. Internet addiction is such a problem in China, they’ve set up treatment centers to try and break teen’s addition.  I’m sure just as many young adults here are addicted to the ‘net as well. And adults are just as bad. Many adults are addicted to social media, porn, and online gaming as well. The internet is a great tool, but it’s not supposed to become our entire lives. People are finding others to have affairs with, families are breaking up over internet activities, kids are committing suicide over online posts from other kids. This terrible trend needs to stop. And it’s so simple to stop it. Just turn off the web, and live your life. Otherwise, the culture will continue to decline both online and offline. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
