If Baseball Wants to Stay in Business in the Internet Age, It Must Change - A Whittle Bit of Commentary 2/27/15

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Transcript (may appear different than audio recording):

Major League Baseball has announced changes to this year’s season to help speed up the game, which I agree with. If they want to stay in business in the coming decades they’re gonna have to change the game some because otherwise most younger Americans are not going to be interested in the game because it’s too slow. Baseball purists will say they should keep the game the same, but if people listened to those that never wanted change, we’d still have the horse and buggy. MLB should shorten the season to 80-82 games because in the internet age, 162 games is just too much and no one can stay that interested in it that long.  Especially when football begins. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
