A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Yesterday I said the CD died last week, and now today I’m wondering out loud is cable TV next? The Financial Times is reporting that broadcast TV executives are alarmed about falling advertisement revenue because more young Americans (and really Americans of all ages) are streaming shows online or are dropping cable all together for Netflix and other streaming services. At Viacom, that owns MTV, BET, among other channels, they've seen almost a 20% decline in ratings for some of their popular networks. No doubt, online streaming is the future of all media, and this is how capitalism works. When someone comes up with a better idea, people use it. It’s competition, its innovation; it’s America at its finest. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
