The Compact Disc Died Last Week. R.I.P. CDs - A Whittle Bit of Commentary 2/23/15

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Transcript (may appear different than audio recording):

I knew the day would come when CDs would die and I also knew that day would be here sooner rather than later. This past week, the day finally arrived when compact discs died. Starbucks announced that they will no longer sale cds in their stores, and this announcement may as well be the obit for cds. Yes, recording companies are still releasing new albums on the plastic discs, but Starbucks has always been viewed as a hip, trend setting establishment and if they’re planning to stop selling cds, starting in March, then the writing is on the wall, or maybe in this case, on the cd booklet. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
