Facebook's Year in Review Offers Us a Look Inside the Mind of the American Public - A Whittle Bit of Commentary 12/10/15

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Below is a rush transcript (may contain errors)

Facebook has released its year in review 2015. This is a great way to see what is important to the American public and where we are as a nation. The year in review lists were based on how many times a topic was mentioned on the site. The most discussed topic in the U.S. in 2015 was the 2016 election, with probably half of that discussion being about Trump. 2nd was gay marriage. The most mentioned politicians globally were Obama and Trump. Hillary came in 4th. Surprisingly the Fox debate was not in the top ten for TV shows. Game of Thrones landed the top spot on that list. You can read the complete lists on yearinreview.fb.com. I’m just happy the there are some important issues including the Presidential election in the top ten lists on Facebook and it’s not all about the Kardashians. Maybe all hope is not lost. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
