Imagine the Controversy If a Preacher Delivering a Sermon Was the Halftime Show Sunday - A Whittle Bit of Commentary 1/30/15

A Whittle Bit of Commentary with Chad Whittle

Transcript (may appear different than audio recording):

So we got the big game Sunday! The Seattle Hawks of the Sea and the New England Deflatetriots. Personally, I hope Seattle wins, but my gut feels that New England will the trophy. Although, the real winner is the NFL and NBC that will make millions off of the telecast and the event. Katy Perry is performing at halftime and many are wondering if she will kiss a girl during the performance, or do something else that will cause the NFL and NBC to panic. I have no clue about that, but a thought popped in my head about the halftime show. Could you imagine if the NFL announced that Billy Graham would preach at halftime? Or some other pastor? People and the media would flip out. They’d demand the separation of sports and religion. The tune out factor would be huge, but hearing a pastor may be just the thing the mass American pop culture needs. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
