Sorry Online Trolls, Websites Are Shutting Down the Worthless Comment Sections 11/25/14

11/25/14 (transcript may appear different than audio)

Finally, the internet is getting rid of comment sections on websites, something I feel most of us could be glad about. Let’s face it, most people that leave comments on websites are just people looking to annoy or enrage others. They don’t add much to the conversation and are mostly trolls. CNN, Re/Code, among other websites have already shut down their comment sections. The main reason is because now most conversation occurs on social media, but as I said, the comment section on most sites are full of people that have nothing better to do than be rude. So riddance comment sections. I’m Chad Whittle on A Whittle Bit of Commentary.
