Survey Reports Millennials And Gen Z Are Increasingly Pessimistic And I Blame The Media For Reporting The Sky Is Always Falling

Transcript:

A new survey reports Millennials and Gen Z are increasingly pessimistic about their lives according to Bloomberg. Income inequality, crime, terrorism, personal safety, climate change, natural disasters are just some of the worries young adults and teens have in America in the survey.

And it’s no wonder.

The media scares them to death every day they turn on the news or open Twitter on their phone.

Every day the news tells them the sky is falling, Trump is horrible, and we’re all dead in ten years because of climate change.

The world is going to hell in a hand basket and we have a shortage of baskets because of global warming.

The truth is the world is not as bad as the media says it is.

Things are actually pretty good thanks to a growing economy and we have more innovation than ever before making our lives easier.

The best thing Millennials and Gen Z could do is turn off the news and go enjoy life.

New Data On Netflix Viewership Reports Nostalgia Beating New Netflix Originals - A Whittle Bit of Commentary

Transcript:

Nielsen has released interesting new data on what subscribers on Netflix are watching and it appears the 50 plus crowd are watching Netflix originals more than younger viewers.

See kids, your mom is hip and cool!

According to Business Insider, those 50 plus spend a greater share of their time on Netflix watching originals than younger viewers with the older crowd spending 33% of their minutes watching originals compared to 27% for younger viewers.

While Netflix originals are very popular, old TV repeats of shows like “The Office” and “Friends” are the most popular titles on the streaming service.

People love nostalgia because times always seemed simpler in the past compared to today. Plus, shows of the past were not anywhere near as dirty as the Netflix originals available to stream today.
